Reading Like Rabbits

I started this book review site, readinglikerabbits.com, because I’m always looking for good books to read and wishing there was someone whom I trusted to help me select my next book. So I decided to help others out by recommending my favourite books.

I read voraciously. I get so excited at the prospect of starting a new novel. But I am fussy, I have to be won over. I often abandon books halfway through, or even a few chapters in. So rest assured, the books recommended on my site are very readable, interesting and have been read from cover to cover.

My favourite kinds of books:

• I prefer reading books that friends and family (whose taste I trust) have recommended to me. So I know they will be good.
• I read all kinds of books, but in particular I love novels set in specific cultures that are alien to me, like Afghanistan, China and Africa
• I prefer novels that don’t follow too many characters, more than 10 and I’m lost. I feel I get to know the people much better if there are only a few main characters. So no War and Peace book reviews here!
• I love memoirs! I’ll be adding my book recommendations of The Glass Castle, Stolen Lives and An Ordinary Man – The True Story Behind Hotel Rwanda very soon.

The main reason why I started Reading Like Rabbits Book Reviews is because I don’t have to feel guilty anymore for sitting around reading all day!
